We take compliance and client safety seriously. Here’s exactly what to expect; from gathering your documents to your very first appointment.

Step 1 · Before You Apply
Gather Your Required Documents

For data privacy and security, all documents must be submitted together in a single upload. Use the table below to confirm which documents apply to your caregiver group before you begin.

Use the ticks to confirm which documents are required for CCA, CCAIT, or Sitters. If a row is ticked in your column, include that document in your single upload.

Eligibility to Work Passport, PR card, COPR, or valid Canadian work permit.
First Aid Certificate Current certification dated within the last 2 years.
Criminal Record Check Submit with your application package.
Vulnerable Sector Check Required for caregivers working with vulnerable adults and seniors.
CCA Certificate From the Department of Long-Term Care, Nova Scotia.
Nova Scotia CCA Registry Proof Proof of registration in the Nova Scotia CCA Registry.
NNAS Report or Foreign Nursing ECA Submit either one for CCAIT applications.
High School Certificate Proof of secondary school completion for Sitters.

One-time, all-in submission only. To protect your personal information and our clients’ safety, we do not accept partial or staggered document submissions. Have everything ready before you submit.

Step 2 · Apply
Submit Your Application

Complete the online caregiver application form and upload all your documents in one secure submission. Double-check that every file is included. Incomplete packages cannot be reviewed and will be returned.

Step 3 · Review Period
We Review Your Application

Our team carefully reviews every submission for completeness, credential validity, and compliance with Nova Scotia home care standards. You’ll receive a decision within 7 business days. we’ll reach out by email with next steps whether approved or if something needs clarification.

Step 4 · Account Creation
Welcome Email & Password Setup

Once approved, we create your caregiver account and send you a secure welcome email with a unique link to set your password. The link is time-limited, follow the instructions in the email promptly to activate your account.

Your caregiver portal is your command centre. From the moment you log in, you can browse and accept open appointments, track visits, and watch your earnings grow, all in one place.
