For data privacy and security, all documents must be submitted together in a single upload. Use the table below to confirm which documents are required for CCA, CCA-IT, or Sitter applicants. If a row is ticked in your column, include that document in your single upload.

One-time, all-in submission only. To protect your personal information and our clients’ safety, we do not accept partial or staggered document submissions. Have everything ready before you submit.
Complete the online caregiver application form and upload all your documents in one secure submission. Double-check that every file is included. Incomplete packages cannot be reviewed and will be returned.
Our team carefully reviews every submission for completeness, credential validity, and compliance with Nova Scotia home care standards. You’ll receive a decision within 7 business days. We’ll reach out by email with next steps, whether you’re approved or something needs clarification.
Once approved, we create your caregiver account and send you a secure welcome email with a unique link to set your password. The link is time-limited, so follow the instructions in the email promptly to activate your account.
Your caregiver portal is your command centre. From the moment you log in, you can browse and accept open appointments, track visits, and watch your earnings grow, all in one place.

Important: Please Read Before Applying
- You are an independent contractor, not an employee. CareO’Clock Caregivers operate as independent contractors with full control over when and how many shifts they choose to work. There is no minimum hours or shift requirement from our end.
- Transportation is your responsibility. You are responsible for arranging and paying for your own transportation to and from all client and care locations.
- You are responsible for your own taxes. As an independent contractor, you are solely responsible for declaring your earnings and filing your taxes with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) at tax time. CareO’Clock does not deduct or remit taxes on your behalf.
- Work is not guaranteed. Acceptance onto the CareO’Clock platform does not guarantee that you will receive shifts or appointments.
- No refunds for application-related expenses. CareO’Clock does not reimburse caregivers for any costs incurred in the process of joining the platform, including but not limited to criminal record checks, first aid certifications, or any other documents required to apply.
